A2Billing Integration
Add new services and capabilities to your existing A2Billing (or any other Open Source project). Join a global community of VoIP providers – building the next generation of VoIP services.

A2Billing (Asterisk/Freeswitch/Kamailio/OpenSIPS) Integration

Your business is dear to you. You invested much time and funds into building and growing it. However, as time progressed, services and requirements changed. Calling cards, hardware-based VoIP services, dial-in access numbers – all are rapidly becoming a thing of the past. Our network will allow you to add new services to your existing one – in as little as 30 minutes.

Engineering First

Use our command line tool to rapidly control your network, without needing to access any web UI or computer program. The ability to respond rapidly to a changing infrastructure is an advantage – CLI tools make sure you are to do so. Connect Asterisk or any VoIP system in as little as 5 minutes.

On-The-Fly Transcoding and Relaying

Our network of globally located media processors (RTP servers) enable us to bounce media packets dynamically across the globe, while at the same time transcode. Dynamically allocating a shortest path for a call’s RTP stream, based on analyzing the RTP stream in real-time.

Any Codec, Any Device, Any Transport

Connect any SIP compatible application, desktop or mobile. Connect with any industry standard codec (g711u, g711a, g729, g723, gsmfr), web Codecs (opus, speex) and any transport method (udp, tcp, tls). Or, you can develop your own application, using our mobile and web SDKs.

Integration Workflow

Integrating Cloudonix Web Calling is a fairly simple process. We recommend using our command line tool to ease the operation. To do so, please follow the following steps:

Step 1: Install cloudonix-cli tool

$ npm install -g @cloudonix.io/cloudonix-cli

Additional information about the Cloudonix CLI tool can be found here.

Step 2: Setup your Cloudonix Credentials

$ cloudonix-cli config set --apikey=your_api_key --domain=your_cloudonix_default_domain

This step will configure your cloudonix-cli tool with your provided Cloudonix platform credentials.

Step 3: Setup SIP trunks to and from your system

$ cloudonix-cli trunks wizard

This step will allow you to configure outbound and inbound trunks to your existing network. Depending on the case, you can create the following:

  1. Inbound DID numbers to your network
    Setup an inbound trunk from your DID provider and an outbound trunk to your existing network
  2. Outbound termination to a remote network
    Setup an outbound trunk to your termination provider and an inbound trunk from your existing network

You can create more complex routing logic using our programmable APIs and build full LCR implementations as well.

Step 4: Setup a Cloudonix Subscriber for your widget

$ cloudonix-cli subscribers create --msisdn=your_designated_widget_number --autogenerate

This step will configure a simple subscriber to be used with your widget. The --autogenerate flag will automatically create a highly secured password to be used. This is not the best practice approach; however, it is the simplest one.

Step 5: Checkout our web-widget and modify it to your requirements

$ git clone git@github.com:cloudonix/cloudonix-webrtc-widget-demo.git

You will now have a local copy of our web widget, which you can modify to your own user experience. Use the instructions provided at https://github.com/cloudonix/cloudonix-webrtc-widget-demo to continue the setup of your widget.

Step 6: Connect any IP Phone

You can now connect any IP Phone to the Cloudonix platform, using the credentials your created. Pay attention that your IP Phone SIP server will be subscribers.cloudonix.io while your need to define the username with your provided Cloudonix domain name, eg: username@domain.cloudonix.net.
