Web-2-Call is an in-browser communications technology. Unlike click-2-call, the voice call “lives” inside the context of the web browser. This operation context allows the developer to have access to information, previously not available. Eg. information about the caller, the page they are currently looking at, potentially even the product their mouse is currently pointing at – are all available to the browser, and thus, can be embedded to the call itself. 

Think of it as a new set of analytical data-points, that previously didn’t exist – and you were required to assume these, now they are available to you.

As the adaptation of WebRTC technologies grows, more and more browsers make the technology available. Currently, our web-2-call technology is compatible with Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari.
